[Interview] Jade Dynasty Air Combat: Ascension Warp-up (11/23/2009)

Ascension is the first expansion of Jade Dynasty and has caught players’ eyes. What is Ascension? How can we ascend? What are we after ascending?

Perfect World: Ascension is the next step of evolution in Jade Dynasty. Ascending is essentially letting your character die and be reborn as a more powerful being. To ascend, a player must reach at least level 135, complete a series of quests to prove their worthiness and then speak to the Elder of Arcaneness, who will open this path to you. After ascending, players will have access to the most powerful weapons and armor in the game, as well as new items to find and quests to complete.

 

What is the background of Ascension?

Perfect World: Through mistakes and delving where they were not meant to be, mankind uncovered the secrets of immortality—that is, they discovered how to Ascend and be reborn as more powerful beings. The immortal Gods have taken notice of humanity grasping for a power they were not meant to have and have sent the Athans to deal with this problem and restore balance in the mortal realm.

 

Can you introduce the new race Athan to us? Does Athan have its own story-line, unique classes or special skills?

Perfect World: The Athans are a demigod race sent by the Immortals to end the human’s ascension. There are two separate Athan Factions: the Balo and the Arden. The Balo are a massive tank-like race who stand head and shoulders above everyone else and wield giant weapons. The Arden take a less brute strength approach, instead summoning pets and attacking with a bow, but are still just as deadly. If a player chooses to play as one of the Athans, they will uncover their unique story and of course will have special skills that only that Faction can use.

 

 

Athan and human do not born to be opponent. So what are Factions about?

Perfect World: The Athans and humans are actually enemies. If a human wanders into an Athan realm, all the Athans will attack regardless of which Faction they belong too.

 

 

 New Factions are added into Ascension. Does that mean Ascension will features PvP or a new PvP areal will appears?

Perfect World: There is still PvP in the Ascension expansion. In fact, the stakes have been raised, an Athan and human automatically become PvP enemies if they happen to cross paths.

 

Can you tell us some details about pet capturing system？What kind of monsters can be captured?

Perfect World: There are a select few of powerful monsters that players can capture as a pet—if you see someone with one of these rare pets, you know they mean business. To capture a pet, you will need to battle that monster to lower its health, and when it is low enough you may be able to keep it as your own with the right equipment.

 

 

 What is Character transform system?

Perfect World: With this system, players can purchase a transformation item and turn into different monsters—this can boost certain stats or give new skills, which might be just what you needed to battle that boss.

 

 

 What is Skill Combo System? Is it a recap of the old skills?

Perfect World: The skill combo system is essential a macro system built into the game. Ever have those skills that boost your attack power and then shortly after that you want to cast your killing blow skill? With this system you can queue up both of the spells with a single click of a button.

 

The most attractive gameplay change is SKY Combat system. Can you describe the system to players? Are there any limitations, such as Level Limits or area?

Perfect World: Players can now engage in combat while on flying mounts. There is the standard limit of level 45 for players to use a flying mount, but after that, the factor that will play in more is the amount of Esper energy a player has to keep their flying mount afloat. Luckily, if you misjudge, at least there is no falling penalty, unlike Aion. You add a New In-Game Help System into the game. Is it only a newbie guild or a introduction for the whole world?

Perfect World: Of course, it will be very beneficial to new players who find themselves a little overwhelmed, but it is an introduction and primer for the world as a whole. Players new and old will find the new help system beneficial.  We provide Cheap Jade Dynasty Gold

  

 Are there any other new contents that we don’t touch before?

Perfect World: Yes, there is a brand new in-game achievement system for players to play with. Achievements can range from PvP, Crafting or PvE based ones. Players will receive achievement points for accomplishing these achievements which they can use at a later time to purchase unique items.
